Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 12, 2026

1. Who We Are

Draftly is a personal project built by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the developer is the data controller.

2. What We Collect & Why

We collect your name and email address to provide your account and deliver the service (legal basis: performance of a contract). We collect the newsletter content you upload so we can generate drafts for you (legal basis: performance of a contract). We also collect basic analytics data to help us understand how the service is used and to improve it (legal basis: legitimate interest).

3. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe to process payments — when you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment details are handled directly by Stripe. We use AI providers to help generate newsletter content. Other third-party services are used to host and run the application. Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. Some of these providers may process your data outside the United Kingdom.

4. Cookies

The site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to help the service function. We also use analytics to understand how the service is used.

5. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data from your account settings. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

6. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
